Drawn Outdoors: Beach
Grab your blankets and join me for a relaxed 2 and a half hour creative sunset session at Kitsilano Beach! We’ll start with fun warm-up exercises, then dive into capturing the ocean’s movement and reflections. You’ll learn simple composition tips to add depth and perspective.

About the event
Relax and create by the ocean during this 2:30 hour sunset session at Kitsilano beach. Unwind with us after work and make the most of the longer days with our midweek classes.
We'll begin with warm-up exercises and fun drawing games, then move on to both shorter and longer sessions. Together, we'll explore capturing the small details of the elements around you, as well as the larger movement, reflections, and vastness of the ocean. For the final exercise, enjoy a "choose your own adventure" where you'll explore your unique style, using the beach as your inspiration.
You’ll be guided by me, Becky Hill, an illustrator and artist who’s passionate about connecting with the outdoors. I’ll will share tips for drawing water, skies, and composition in landscape scenes.
No experience? No problem—this session is beginner-friendly and all about enjoying the creative process at all levels.
