Love nature? Let's explore the beauty of Stanley Park! In this 2 and a half hour golden hour session, we’ll cover simple techniques to capture the vibrant details of leaves, flowers, and foliage. We’ll start with warm-ups, then get into drawing while soaking in the forest surroundings.

About the event

Like art? Love Nature? Looking for community? Experience the beauty of Stanley Park at golden hour during this 2 and a half mixed media drawing session focused on botanical art.


The session will explore techniques for capturing leaves, flowers, and other foliage in vibrant detail. For the first half, we’ll explore the park to stay warm and get the creativity flowing, starting with warm-up exercises and creative games. Then, we’ll settle in for a longer drawing session where you'll have the opportunity to explore your own unique style and get messy.


You’ll be led by, Dani Mejia, an artist who’s passionate about connecting with the outdoors.  I’ll guide you through simple yet effective techniques for adding texture and depth to your botanical sketches, using a variety of sketching materials and watercolors. All levels are welcome!
