About the event
Drawn Outdoors Hike: Dog Mountain
Join us for a relaxed (maybe snowy) hike + sketching adventure through forested trails to the stunning viewpoint at Dog Mountain in Mount Seymour Provincial Park. On a spring day in April, we’ll blend gentle hiking with mindful creativity, pausing along the trail and at the viewpoint to sketch snowy textures, evergreen forests, and sweeping mountain views over Vancouver and beyond.
No experience needed—whether you’re new to drawing or already filling sketchbooks, this experience is about slowing down, connecting with nature, and expressing what you see in your own way.
You’ll be led by me, Becky Hill, an illustrator and artist passionate about connecting creativity with the outdoors. I’ll share simple techniques for capturing atmosphere, depth, and mood—perfect for both beginners and experienced sketchers.
