Drawn Outdoors Hike: Rice Lake Loop Edition

Combine hiking and creativity in this all-day forest adventure at Rice Lake in North Vancouver. We’ll take a gentle loop through lush second-growth forest, with two creative stops nestled along the quiet lakeside trail—a shorter sketch break on the eastern shore, and a longer drawing session at the north end of the lake. Surrounded by serene water, tall trees, and the sounds of the forest, I’ll guide you through a relaxed drawing session focused on forest landscapes, reflections, and natural textures. You’ll learn how to capture the stillness and detail of this beautiful setting in your own unique way.

You’ll be led by me, Becky Hill, an illustrator and artist who’s passionate about connecting with the outdoors. I’ll demonstrate techniques for drawing layered forest scenes and creating mood and depth in your work—perfect for both beginners and experienced artists alike.
